So this July has been fun. Thomas is finishing up the bike ride today. I got a few pictures from their ride while I was with them. While in Houston one weekend my sister and her husband's boxers had fun watching our labs swim. Poor little Buster fell in twice. One evening in Waco we took our dogs to a man-made pond near our house. Jake swam to the fountains to check them out, I think he liked the bubbles. Maddy probably only swam because Jake went in. I celebrated my 26th with Thomas' family, a day at their pool. And then also two of my friends have July birthdays so we celebrated with our small group. Thomas' little sister has her baby! We made the drive down to Temple to welcome her!
Can't believe July has come and gone. Bring it on August!
The first weekend in June we went to Inks Lake State Park. Just one night of camping was enough. Got there just before dark, set up camp, ate, then hit the hay. Our breakfast was from a yummy MRE. Peanut butter on crackers, and a pound cake. The next morning Thomas did a lil fishing then he and the dogs went swimming in the stream that flows into the lake. There are some cliffs there that kids like to jump off. Dogs thoroughly enjoyed themselves. I had been out to the park before for a geology field trip. Can't remember what was so interesting out there. Some cool rocks I guess. Here's to many more outdoor adventures with our little family!
