Giant Things

I'm pretty sure it all started with a Rt.44 drink from Sonic. And since then I've enjoyed documenting Sean with oversized items!

Recently

My mom came to visit the other weekend. She found Sean's tickle spot. It's too cute, he'll tuck his side in and try to lean away.

Sean has been a tremendously good distraction for my mom since my dad passed away in July. I only wish we were closer so she could see him more often.

Sean has mastered standing up.

Investigating what's in the cabinets

Last week we went to Thomas' parents for a swim.  We decided to take advantage of these warm days before they're gone.

And afterwards a lil goofin off with dad.

Labor Day Weekend III

Sunday we were able to attend the church that Tom, Mike and Miriam went to while they lived in Columbus. This church had a great impact on Thomas' spiritual foundation and growth. It was a great service and I can see why he loved that church so much. We were still hanging around the sanctuary long after the service ended, so after they turned the lights off we headed out to lunch. After eating the boys wanted to visit their old stompin grounds. So off to Ft. Benning we went.

By their old barracks.
Of course they had to venture over to the obstacle courses to see if they still "had it."

How about a run up Cardiac Hill. You know, for old times sake.

Out at dinner getting a drink from dad.

The next morning we went to the museum at Ft. Benning. It was quite impressive. The life size displays were very cool and everything was interesting to look at.

There were also little uniforms for dress up!

Labor Day Weekend II

After breakfast Saturday morning in Pine Mountain, GA we drove over the border to Auburn University.

snacking on yogurt melts

Sean was a good boy and just hung out while we chatted and ate. He loved pulling up the grass.
Look Thomas made him a toy. Just what every boy wants, a plate with a hole in it!

So while Mike and Miriam went to the Auburn game we headed to Columbus, GA to check into the B and B.

Yay, 100,000 miles!

With arms loaded up I took this picture without looking through the view finder. not bad.

here's a better picture, we stayed in the house on the left.

Once we checked in we hung out in the cottage. The little house was divided into halves. Our half had a bedroom, bathroom, wet bar and front living room. We put Sean's pack n' play in the front room so he could sleep while we were still up.

A cafe right next to our B and B served free appetizers and wine to guests. We figured it was a ploy to real us in for dinner. It worked. But it was very tasty food.

Sean sat in the highchair and his chin was level with the table, ha.

checking out the cool ceiling.

After dinner we changed Sean into his PJs then strolled by the Chattahoochee River.

And then we stopped at the Heritage Park with several water features.
