30 Weeks with Baby No.2

I had an appointment June 7th and my OB said everything is measuring okay. Heart beat 163, and I suppose my belly measurement is normal. My next appointment is June 24th. She said she wanted to see me in two weeks. I'm not sure if that's the normal frequency in which she starts to see women after 30 weeks or if she is being precautious with me.
Today I'm 30weeks 7days, at least that's what my iPhone app tells me. There is no reason to think that I will have preterm labor with this baby just because I did with Sean. But, I'm still nervous as I near 32 weeks.

Since Thomas quit working so that he could go back to school we have had a lot of fun. We are more free to go to the park whenever we want, go to the in-laws for a dip in the pool, get snow-cones, or run errands.
Thomas tries to keep his 8-5 as "work" hours. He goes to school in the morning and then will study or work out in the afternoon. The summer classes are jam packed since they are only six weeks long. It's intense but he's trying to stay on top of things. He just registered for IronMan Houston next May. So that's why we consider working out work. He'll have to dedicate a lot of time to prepare for such an event. Although, he is the guy that trained for a 1/2 marathon and ran the full course on accident and did just fine. He enjoys sweating waaay to much. =)
Thomas has also had more time to help out with church things, service projects and whatnot. He's got a big heart for service. He went to Joplin, MO right after the tornado hit with a couple other men from our church, and he's going back to Joplin soon (with a much larger group, yay). To be honest I was upset at first that he went, because the other two guys going didn't have a pregnant wife an 2 year old at home, but he did! He did ask me before going to make sure I was okay with it, but once he was gone I was like ahhh, how can I do this with out Thomas here. Anyway, I realized that he could do, and did, a lot of good helping there. He is physically capable, has the time and the passion to help. I shouldn't stand in the way, or complain, about him spreading the gospel to people who may really need it at this time in their lives.
So, life is good for us right now, I mean it's always good though! We're here aren't we?

Our Week Through Instagram

I recently got an iPhone and I've seen other blogs document their week through the Instagram ap.
So I thought I'd do the same.

Monday: Newest entertainment. Bucket on head.

Monday: Sean also discovered entertainment with the house plant.

Monday: GI Joe jeep not big enough.

Monday: Go, car. go.
Monday: Family floor time.

Monday: Big boy sippy cup.
Monday: Post gym. Dad loves that quitting work means more time to work-out.

Monday: First trip to a splash park. I totally thought the blue floor was a cushy foam surface.
Nope, it's just blue concrete.

Tuesday: Three hour glucose test. Guh. But I haven't received a call, so I think I'm good.

Wednesday: More bucket fun.

Wednesday: Oreo snack. He separates the cookie and only eats the side with icing.

Wednesday: Back yard splash table.

Wednesday: Oreo face, not dirt.

Wednesday: Oh, that's where he gets it from.

Thursday: "Hurry up and eat so I can play with your bowl."

Thursday: Bucket on head while driving, nice.

Thursday: Pants optional.

Friday: Bahama Bucks shaved ice for us all. Their ice is so much finer than other snow cone stands. It melts in your mouth. I have a feeling we will be there a lot this summer

Friday: Laundry fun.

 Friday: Sean checking his email.

Saturday: Loves fig newtons.

Saturday: Helping me stuff diapers.

Saturday: Pedicures with some great ladies.

Baby-moon in Cancun

Thomas and I, along with another couple, spent four days in Cancun, Mexico. It was great.  Close enough so the flight wasn't unbearable and far enough away to be in a different culture. We were definitely able to satisfy our travel itch. I tried to spend my time in the shade but I did venture out into the water. The waves were pretty rough so I stood with my back to the waves and held tight to Thomas! It was really fun, I wish I had gotten out there more. We stayed at an all inclusive resort. All you can eat food and drinks, woohoo!

Mike and Miriam

We took kayaks out one morning. Thank goodness they had a double. I certainly wouldn't have made it far if I were going solo.

We paddled over to an area quite shallow. The sand was so soft and the water was so clear. Just how I like it. I want to see what's swimming at my feet.

We even spotted a few star fish chillin in the grass.

We hit up a different beach, a little more crowded, but still beautiful.

Coca-cola was everywhere but we did find a can of gold that I had to snatch up to sip on the beach!

Who can resist climbing a palm tree to get a coconut? Two nights in a row the boys decided they needed to test their climbing skills.

They put their sandals upright in the sand for pins, so creative!

They then proceeded to play coconut bowling, coconut shot-put and eventually smashed open the nut.

That's Tom and Mike getting in a few more drinks and stories on our last day.

The air traffic control tower had Corona painted on it, odd. Only in Mexico?
Bye bye Cancun!
