Friendship Bread

A friend of ours gave us a bag of the friendship bread stuff. We mushed it and mushed it when it called for it. Then came time to add stuff, woops I forgot, husband added it a day late. Then came the day to make the bread, woops again. Husband was determined to not let all our mushing work go to waste so the next day he got to it, while I was out and about with baby. So here's the fun part. He apparently forgot to portion out the mix. You set aside 3/4 of the mix to pass on to some friends, hah, hence the name. But he didn't set aside anything. He just added the ingredients. Then realizing he did this thought it best to just quadruple the amount of sugar, flour, etc. to make the mixture balanced. of course, why not....b/c you'll end up with a boat load of bread!! I guess he thought it would be nicer to bake the bread for your friends instead of handing them a bag of goo. =)

Last days of October

We did end up getting out to Baylor's Homecoming parade! We also spent some time out at Opa's land with Thomas' side of the family. The boys decided to crank up the toys with wheels. And we also did some pumpkin carving with Carols' family. A quick trip to Houston and just got one picture of my sister with baby Sean.

Shots

Bear had his first round of shots this week. He did well but did cry. He hasn't had a fever as of yet. He weighed in at 8lbs 1oz. 21 inches. The doctor showed us his progress on a graph and he's just below average. Which being two months early is not bad! They can even show us his progress if he was born on his due date! very cool. I imagine that we'll be playing that "well, if he was born on his due date he'd be like 'this or that' " game til he is about 1. Not too sure though. Some other ladies that were pregnant right along with me just had their babies. One was 8lbs 15 oz and the other was 7lbs 13 oz, so he's some where in the middle of his baby friends.
