busy busy

Life seems so busy with little things. Our day quickly fills up, but I'm soaking up this stage of our lives. Because before I know it we will be for real busy. School, homework, sports, family vacations.
Friday lunch out. We were on our way to the Mediterranean "hole in the wall" place, but it was slightly nice out side and we hadn't been to this Mexican joint since before having kids.

Saturday. Game day. Our Bears game wasn't televised so we watched our next favorite team Auburn! It was a pretty upsetting loss...let's not talk about it...look at these cute babies instead!

p.s. the Bears won and moved up two slots on their ranking..to 17th.

Sunday post church nap.

Monday coloring. and dumping crayons.

Kayla grew out of her old monitor strap and we got a new one, fresh and clean. I can't wait till she is released from wearing that thing. Not only so she'll be more comfortable but it will make life easier on me! But don't get me wrong, it has been wonderful to have equipment that monitors her heart rate and breathing, but we are at that point where the alarm hasn't gone off in ages and as her parents we feel she's ready to be off it, but we have to wait till doctors orders, otherwise insurance won't pay!

Monday afternoon. Family grocery shopping trip. I have yet to go to HEB with just the kids and I. I don't know how those moms do it!
Sean got his 2 Buddy Bucks and got 21 points. Big money...er Buddy points. He's on his way to winning a bright shiny pencil eraser!

Monday night. Monkey bread! Because sleep is precious and I'm not waking up early, even for monkey bread.

Kayla at 2 Months Old

Kayla turned two months old on August 27th. She weighed in at 8lbs 7oz, which I was very surprised at and the doctor was very pleased with. She is quite a bit more fussy than Sean. Even though Sean was our first I child remember thinking when he was a baby how easy he was and how any subsequent children would probably be tougher. He spoiled us. Just last night we were saying how sassy she is, but she's just sassy because she's gassy! I do think she is more needy in general though. But she is so cute! We'll keep her.

Thomas has started his fall semester. They are all science courses and require a lot of study time. It's nice having him drop by during the day for lunch and a quick wrestle with Sean. And although there are no more late night business phone calls to Asia that time is now taken up by studying. We are taking full advantage of having so much family time right now because we know it won't be like this for long! The pictures above are from a trip to feed the river ducks by the suspension bridge. That sure was a sweaty adventure. I seriously cannot wait till cooler weather arrives.
As for me I'm getting use to this two kiddo situation. Boy is it tough. Taking it one day at a time and looking forward to little miss sleeping through the night.
