Bear is 3 months

November 12 Bear turned 3 months old. Finally, man time has gone by so slowly. Seems like it's taking him forever to grow, I wish he would just hurry up! I can't wait till he's 1, and then 5 and then 16 and the off to college! Hardly! I'm totally kidding. Of course, just like every other momma time has gone by all too quickly. And just like every other momma will say, "I can't imagine life before our little one was here." I will have sporadic moments of 'mother growth.' Moments of realization that I have a son, I am a mother and things will never be the same.
Having a child is truly amazing. While at Sonic the other day the car hop girl saw Bear and told me she's afraid of having a child, the labor part. She said that her fiance wants children but she's scared. I tried to tell her like it is. Of course, you're scared. The unknown is scary. Simply not knowing is what makes it scary. I also told her that it's totally worth it and she can do it. We agreed that if it were that bad people would stop at one child, haha. I told her that when I had bad morning sickness I wasn't sure I wanted to do it again, but now I know it's worth it. I ended with saying "a few hours of pain is worth it." "Hours?!" she responded...oppps. I hope she hears some good birth stories from other ladies.

I can sew?

After reading some blogs of ladies that are super crafty and create wonderful things I was inspired to do some crafting of my own! In a very short time I started following like 20+ blogs. One blog in particular had such a cute idea that I knew I could tackle. A little crinkle toy.
Since I'm a beginner sewer my mom suggested I sew down the ribbons first. As opposed to trying to sew through three layers all while holding the ribbons in place. I used the wrapper from a bag of popcorn for the crinkle layer.

And so here is the finished project. (minus the zig-zag border)

And here it's being tested by Bear. Well....he'll enjoy it eventually!
It was such a fun project and I look forward to making more fun things for baby. I had a huge smile on my face when I finished. I ran to show Thomas and was so proud of myself.
I hope I'm on this sewing kick for longer than a week.
