Back from China with lead filled toy

Husband was in China for two weeks in January. The last time he was in China was early in my pregnancy. It was tough then, but boy oh boy it was so tough this time! I have so much respect for single parents or parents with a deployed spouse. Especially when that single parent is working. It must be so hard for them. I was able to manage for those two weeks though. I ate out a lot and didn't clean anything. I have great friends and family near by so they were always a phone call away. But I'm stubborn and don't like asking for help! But seriously I knew that if I needed anything they would gladly be there. I tend to hermit myself and become anti social without Thomas. When he was deployed for that year in 2006 I don't remember doing a lot. It was a point in my life where all my college friends had graduated and moved on. I'm a home-body and I can deal with empty houses and going shopping or eating alone. Anyway, he's back now, has been for about a week and we're back to our crazy lives.

While in China Thomas tends to get attention from, ummm the ladies. Here is my theory. He's Asian looking (half Thai) but has some European (white guy) flavor. And I'm not saying that Asians aren't strong but I think he must have a little more muscle mass then most Asians. Well, you don't see many Asian body builders do you? All that rice ain't gonna put muscle on your bones! it's true Thomas eats rice all the time!(please don't be offended by my crazy thoughts, I gained the right to poke fun at Asians, when I married one, or at least I think I did)(But you're not allowed to make fun of him, just me!) so what was I talking about...oh, the ladies. So the Asian ladies always tell him he's beautiful and think he's a model/movie star actor. And they give him things, like an over sized pencil. I think an oversized pencil says "I admire you", don't you? Well if things don't work out here in the states, looks like we'll be headed to China to pursue Thomas' modeling career!

and on another Asian note...while in Israel a women thought Thomas was the hotdog eating champion guy! seriously?! they don't really all look alike, c'mon! go google "hotdog eating champion guy", Thomas does not look like him! (don't google that I don't know what you'll find)

So the oversized pencil turned into a gift for Sean. It goes well with my theme of taking pictures of Sean with giant things.

Next will be a giant burrito!
