Health

How do you stay healthy? Do you even think you are healthy? I like to think I am. But truthfully I am not. Yesterday I thought I'd try to drink as much water as I do soda. I didn't drink nearly enough water to make up for the DP. When I'm active, running, which currently I'm not so much, I think I eat better. But when I do nothing I eat junk. Should be the other way around. It'd be okay to eat a little junk if I were at least active. I think we women tend to focus on the weight more than the health aspect. Truly it should be health first, right? I mean sometimes they go hand in hand. Anyway, do you have any things you do or think to keep being healthy on the forefront of your mind? Like my water=soda plan. Do you grocery shop in the produce section only? haha. Do you give yourself talks in the mirror? Does reading on the subject motivate? Or maybe what life things motivate you to be healthy? Kids, Bathing suit season, accountability, upcoming drs appointment, goals to compete in a race?

This subject came up with the husband and I recently and I think my friends are full of good ideas, tips and advice so lemme have it! Please really anything, even if you think it's odd, haha.

Peace

  2. I like reading ingredients on labels. If it's full of stuff I can't pronounce, it's probably not good for me. I try to think "simple" when it comes to food. The simpler the food is, the more nutritious it is. I think that helps me a lot. Maybe you can replace some of your DP addiction with fun sparkling water like Pellegrino or Perrier - it's really refreshing (especially with lemon or lime). I find myself not missing diet coke or DP while drinking it.

  3. My only advice is this: be great and healthy for 30 min. while you are at the store so that when you get home and get junk food craving, there is no junk food to get to!
