We all knew Labor day weekend was coming. Thomas and I just kept putting off what we were going to do. Hanging around the house has been done. We wanted adventure. We wanted to get out! We thought about San Antonio, Arkansas, Oklahoma. We just about settled on Arkansas, still not even knowing what part of AK we'd visit or what we would see there. And then last week Thomas was talking with his friend Mike. Tom and Mike were in the Ranger Battalion together back in the day. When two men go through all they did together a special bond forms, awww. Anyways, he was talking with his best bud and turns out Mike and his wife Miriam were headed down to Auburn, AL from NC, to see the Tigers first football game of the season. Miriam is Auburn alum and wanted Mike to experience the goodness that is college football. So we decided to drive over to AL/GA to meet up with M and M!

So after much driving we arrived in Pine Mountain, GA. You see, about a year ago a seven month pregnant Christi and Thomas were planning a vacation with M and M. We were going to stay in some lovely cabins in GA and just hang out in the wildness. The weekend before we were supposed to meet them last year Mr. Sean decided he wanted out. So our vacation was canceled because I had to give birth. Well, M and M were able to snag a stay at the same cabins in Pine Mountain, GA. Since our trip was last minute we snagged a room at a lovely motel. Notice the cinder block walls? It was actually kinda cute. Very vintage. We met up with them Friday night there at the motel.

We have the same high chair that hooks onto the table. It works really great!
ReplyDeleteSo far the gate we got seems to be working well. To be honest we got it because it was the only one with a door that fit at the top of our stairs because the railing gets in the way of the taller ones. We found it at Babies R Us (which is NOT my favorite store but they have the largest selection so we ended up going there anyway). It does screw into the wall so that's a good thing.
Looks like you had a great labor day weekend. Sean is a cutie pie! I love all the pictures.
