A Little Christmas Recap

Just wanted to check in and ramble for a bit. I have yet to add new photos to FB or the blog, so this will be a photoless post.
Christmas break was a dream. My work was actually only given Christmas Eve and New Years Eve off, but I managed to steal away more days than that. The original plan was to travel Christmas day in order to make it to both parent's houses, same as we did last year. Sean was younger then, a nice, flexible, friendly baby. Now though, Sean is a little more challenging to work around. Just thinking about rushing around Christmas day and driving so much was stressing me out. So, I did what any "baby of the family" does. I complained and whined to my sister to persuaded her and my mom to come to us. Well, not exactly, I was more mature than that, at least I think so. In the end, Mom and sister drove to us! *Sigh* So much easier for Cranky Pants McGee, a.k.a Sean.
Christmas morning we woke up at our house and took Sean downstairs to the tree. We opened presents and leisurely gathered up things. We were assigned to bring ham and rolls to Christmas lunch at Tommy's parents. There was no lack of food there. We covered all the beasts: air, land and sea. There was duck, ham, brisket and fish. Along with a gajillion other side items, appetizers and desserts. Opening presents at the in-laws house was fun because Sean's cousins added excitement to the gathering.
After stuffing ourselves we headed back to our house. Sean fell asleep on the way home and we successfully transferred him to his bed. Soon after my mom and sister arrived. Sean woke up then we commenced another gift exchange. We just hung out the rest of their time here. Although, my mom and sister did sneak off to the day after Christmas sale. Loft was like 70% off, sad I missed it. But Thomas did have three Loft boxes under the tree for me, so I should say that was enough. He did a great job picking out clothes for me.
Wednesday after Christmas was the Texas Bowl that Baylor was participating in. It had been a good 15 years since their last bowl game, and we just had to go. My mom works with an Illinois alum (the opponent) so we all snatched tickets and met up at the game. Well, Baylor lost. But on a good note Sean really enjoyed the game. He wore his little Baylor jersey. He was so well behaved and didn't fuss at all. He noticed us clapping and began to clap also. So cute. I took his soaking wet socks off, it was raining on our way in. And my mom was twirling his sock trying to dry them. He notice this too and started twirling the sock in his hand.
I was feeling under the weather the whole break, I blame stress. So I kinda sorta didn't go to work much at all the week after Christmas. Well, now I'm back to the grind.
