Just like all the mommas say, time went by too fast, way too fast. But I 'm so excited to celebrate his FIRST birthday! Today our little family of three will go out to lunch and celebrate on his actually birth day. Saturday is his party with family and a few friends. I'm fighting the guilty feeling of not taking the day off to spend with him, but I really don't think it would be for his benefit, just mine, ha! He really loves his day care and playing with all the kiddos there. The woman that watches him loves him like her own. She really has a special bond with her kiddos. So Thomas and I will take some time during lunch to celebrate with him and then spend a relaxing evening at home.
Sean is now on the move! He began with what I like to call a worm crawl weeks ago. He would pull his knees under his body then lunge forward. With in the past week he started getting a few standard coordinated crawl moves in before he lunges. Still no sign of teeth. But he eats some table foods. Pieces of hot dog, mash potatoes, rice, or anything mushy! He loves his Puffs and baby Cheetos.
Sean is truly an easy going baby and very flexible. He does pretty well during church. He stays with us during worship time then heads to the nursery during the sermon. The other week during a Wednesday small group we were all sitting around at tables and before we started our pastor was holding Sean. It was time to begin and he just continued to hold Sean as he talked. I'm glad he does well with others holding him. Eventually Sean become squirmy and was passed back to dad. But I was proud that Sean was so well behaved. (knock on wood!)
Sean is such a daddy's boy. He loves watching Thomas. Sean loves crawling to him and on him. Just the other day Sean and I were in his room playing on the floor while Thomas was around the corner in the hall bath installing a new faucet. Sean keep crawling out of his room to get to daddy. His desire to see dad eventually led to a head bump on the door jam, ouch! But Sean's okay, he's a tough guy! I love watching Sean laugh at Thomas. Or break out a huge grin when Thomas surprises him.
