Sean's First Birthday Party! part II

There was a robot making station in the front dining room. I pre glued some foam shapes on and let the kiddos glue, with a glue stick, more fun shapes and add stickers once they arrived. I believe all ages enjoyed decorating them and the bigger boys especially liked wearing them and fighting with sword like balloons.
At Hob Lob they have pre cut foam shapes with a peel away sticky backing, but they were sort of pricey. They also sell small sheets of foam with sticky backing. We opted for the cheaper sheets without a sticky back, hoping the kids could easily glue them on. The day after his party I found all kinds of fun foam shapes at Walmart, I was kicking myself. Oh well, seemed to work out nicely!
We played a fun game that Thomas' friend suggested. I think she mentioned that it's popular in China. You lay out items that represent a profession and let baby choose an item and that's the profession they'll be in! It was fun and was a good way to get the attention to one room before opening presents.

  1. I'm loving this! So wonderful! (So sad I couldn't be there.) I especially love the pictures of Thomas and Jay playing robots with the little boys! :)
It could be a glueten allergy - not just eggs. Or the icing. Or a random rash. Don't freak out yet. :)
